Since I’ve been doing the Custom Meal Delivery aspect of my business I’ve been taking FULL advantage of my slow cooker! It’s such a perfect tool for making delicious batch recipes that you can “set and forget”!
I recently asked for some inspiration on the Facebook Page for recipes, and slow cooker seemed to be the theme of the answers I got!
I’ve been super busy as of late and I’m still trying to perfect the art of cutting back so I haven’t yet come up with a NEW slow cooker recipe, but I thought a round-up post would suffice as I’ve got some great ones on the blog I’d love to feature!
Don’t forget to pin your favourite picks! 🙂
Here they are!
1. Easy Slow Cooker Pulled Chicken (a classic!)
This recipe is simple as can be, delicious, and healthy! Perfect to put in sandwiches, wraps, tacos, or have on a plate with salad or veggies! The possibilities are endless! I love simple, and this recipe hits the nail on the head!
My vegans out there will love this! A simple batch breakfast recipe to get you through the whole week! This is a recipe I love to give to clients who are short on time and just want something easy and delicious to grab and go in the mornings! It can be frozen too!
For those seafood lovers out there – this recipe is a hit! Shrimp, calamari, mussels, and more in a flavourful, fragrant, healthified rice dish! What more could you want?!
I definitely can’t take full credit for this recipe – it’s one I recreated from the wonderful Skinny Taste, but it’s far too delicious to leave off this list! With a perfect sweet and salty mix, this recipe makes a stellar lunch or dinner any day of the week!
Mmmm no butter, “butter” chicken! This one is rich and creamy, you wouldn’t guess it’s actually dairy free! This has definitely been a staple recipe for my meal deliveries and my clients just love it! Guilt free, filling, and perfect for some delicious Indian flavours!
6. Philly Cheese Chicken Tacos
Philly Cheese and Tacos morphed into one?! Yes, yes! This recipe lightens up the typical philly cheese steak so many people love, and then takes an interesting twist by putting the deliciousness into tacos! This is one recipe to win over any hubby!
7. Slow Cooker Cashew Chicken Curry
This recipe is similar to the Butter Chicken, as it uses the same secret ingredient to create “creaminess” while keeping the recipe dairy free! The flavours are more similar to a Thai curry and definitely hit the spot on a cold day!
There you have it folks! 7 fantastic slow cooker recipes to inspire you to put that slow cooker of yours to use! Remember you don’t need tons of time, just pop it all in, set your time, then get on with the rest of your day and let your house fill with the lovely aromas of your healthy cooking!
Have a lovely Thursday!

Guess who!
That’s the sesame and honey chicken from Skinny Taste made and posted up!

I linked both to your and Gina’s blogs 🙂
It was delicious, and I cannot wait to get my paws on some (or maybe all!) of the recipes in this post, especially the DF butter chicken, and cashew chicken curry 😀
I hope the week’s been good to you so far, and that you have a lovely day! x
Wonderful! Thanks for the links back Jules! 🙂 Hope you have a marvellous day!
I’m going to try the cashew chicken with chickpeas! I would never think to use my slow cooker for a curry, I’ve always just made them on the stove.
I appreciate that the protein portion can be easily substituted with a vegan option! I’ve come across a lot of cashew curry recipes that use a ton of dairy, so just switching the protein won’t screw up the entire recipe. Yay!
Enjoy! 🙂
That honey sesame chicken looks fantastic, I’m putting it on my meal plan for this week 😉
The words that came to my head when I scrolled down? “I LOVE YOU!” But then I realised that might sound a little creepy, and decided that I shouldn’t mention it, did it anyway, and now I am struggling to find a way to normalise this comment again, haha 😛 I think what I was meaning to say, is that I love this! A great little collection of amazing sounding recipes that I (sadly) have YET to try (…because it should have been done ages ago, closer to when they were posted!). Thank you so much Christal, I hope you have a fantastic weekend 🙂 xx
Lol! You are too cute! 🙂 Thank you so much for all the blog support missy! 🙂
You are most welcome! 😀 I have written them all down now so I can add some to future food plans, cannot wait ^ ^
Making steel cut oats in my slow cooker is definitely one of my new favorite uses for it. And I still need to try that butter chicken recipe!
You must – it’s one of my faves still! 🙂 I’m totally planning another batch of slow cooker oats soon! 🙂
Great choices 🙂 Thanks for sharing!
