Cook the pasta according to the package directions and set aside.
Chop an onion into small pieces and add it to a small pot with 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Cook until soft.
Season with salt.
Add in the minced garlic and cook until fragrant (about 30 seconds). Then set the pan aside.
Crumble the feta cheese and place it into a baking tray with olives, cherry tomato, Italian seasoning, and ground black pepper.
Stir to combine.
Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the tomatoes are soft.
Add the cooked pasta and the sauteed onion to the baking tray.
Garnish with 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese and place back into the oven for another 5-8 minutes for the cheese to brown.
Serve warm with some fresh basil leaves on top.

What goes well with the Mediterranean pasta bake recipe?
This is a dish that needs no competition so keep the side dishes simple and easy by adding a side plate of breadsticks and salad.
How long is pasta bake good for?
you can keep your leftover pasta in an airtight container or in a well-covered baking dish using plastic wrap or foil. Keep it stored in the fridge for up to about 4 days. You can reheat it in the baking dish in the oven at 375 degrees F for 20 minutes or until warmed through.
Can I freeze feta pasta bake?
Yes, this pasta can be made and then have the leftovers stored in the freezer for up to 3 months. I recommend either freezing it in a disposable baking dish or in single-serving portions so that it’s easier to reheat later.
