Mmm.. Plant Based Sandwiches!
Over the past year or so I’ve been sharing regular recipe round up posts and many of them have been plant based focused including plant based breakfasts, plant based snacks, plant based blogs to follow, and more! The numbers don’t lie, these particular round ups have been super popular and I can totally see why. The plant based trend is at an all time high! Today I’m sharing a list of delicious and creative plant based sandwiches to add to this group of round ups and I think you are going to love these recipes! For so long sandwiches have revolved mainly around meat – Turkey clubs, BLT’s, tuna salad, etc. and now the plant based movement is turning these classics on their heads with plant focused alternatives that still taste amazing and are super nutritious. While I still love a good classed tuna sandwich now and again, I’ve been really inspired by these plant based options that get creative with vegetables, seasonings, and sauces.
If you are intrigued by this list but don’t think it’s for you because you are intolerant or allergic to gluten, you can easily swap out the bread option in any of these recipes for your favourite gluten free alternative!
