Granola bars definitely remind me of growing up and taking a homemade lunch to school most days. My mom would typically pack some sort of granola bar for me along with my other lunch goodies. While my school days are farrrrr gone, I still definitely crave granola bars regularly.

 

The thing is, most granola bars out on the grocery store shelves, especially those not in the organic or natural foods section, are seriously loaded with refined sugars and other random, unpronounceable ingredients …. no thanks maltodextrin and fractionated palm oil, you can stay at the store.
