How to Make Air Fryer Brussel Sprouts with Honey Lemon Dressing
Wash the brussel sprouts and then trim off the wooden-like bottom end pieces.
Slice each brussel sprout in half.
Add your brussel sprouts to a bowl and drizzle in olive oil, salt, and pepper. Toss well to coat.
Transfer the brussel sprouts to the air fryer basket and air fry for 10 minutes at 370 degrees F for 7 minutes.
Remove the basket from the air fryer and then shake it well to toss around the brussel sprouts.
Air fry for an additional 3 minutes.
While the brussel sprouts are frying, prepare the dressing in a jar by mixing together all of the ingredients. Place a lid onto the jar and shake vigorously for 30 seconds to combine.
Toast your pine nuts in a pan on the stovetop for about 1-2 minutes until just lightly browned.
When the brussel sprouts have finished cooking, transfer them to a bowl and drizzle with the dressing.
Toss to combine.
Sprinkle the top with the toasted pine nuts for garnish.
Serve and enjoy.
Should you cut brussel sprouts in half before cooking?
If the brussel sprouts are small you can leave them whole but if they are bigger than a quarter then you should slice them in half for even cooking, and faster cooking times. You can quarter the even larger brussel sprouts if needed as some brussel sprouts can often be about the size of a baby’s fist!
Are air fried vegetables healthy?
Air frying vegetables can reduce the need for added fats by about 70-80% making it a much healthier alternative to standard cooking methods.
Why are my roasted brussel sprouts mushy?
This usually happens as a result of overcooking the sprouts. Because different air fryers may heat differently you should keep an eye on your sprouts towards the last 2 or 3 minutes to make sure that they don’t become overcooked, burnt, or mushy.
