NITK’s Favourite Energy Bars Balls + Bites

NITK's Fave Energy Bars Balls + Bites via Nutritonist in the Kitch

Wow, it’s pretty crazy how many recipes I’ve managed to compile over the last few years… they sure do add up! So I was perusing my recipes list and noticed how many yummy Energy Snack recipes there are!

I’ve always loved coming up with these recipes in particular because they are simple, quick, portable, and always make for a delicious pre-workout boost!

I thought it would be fun to highlight some of my faves from the blog to inspire you to get your Energy Bar, Ball + Bite on this weekend! All you really need are a few tasty, healthy, whole food ingredients and a run-of-the-mill food processor!

Energy bars get their “energy factor” from dried dates or other dried fruits that provide a plentiful portion of natural sugars and quick digesting carbohydrates. The dried fruits when combined with other ingredients like rolled oats, raw nuts or seeds, cocoa powder, protein powders, nut butters, or pumpkin puree, really pack a punch! I love to carry these homemade delights along in my purse or even store some in my car for those moments when I’m running low on fuel and need a quick and healthy pick-me-up!

Take a peek at some of my NITK faves!
