10 Healthy Overnight Oats Recipes You’ve Got To Try!
What are Overnight Oats?
We’ve all heard of regular oatmeal, but what about “overnight oats”? This beautiful breakfast idea is perfect for anyone who a) hates mornings, b) is usually rushed in the a.m., c) feels half asleep when preparing breakfast and always burn the toast, or d) just loves breakfas, period. So, overnight oats are for pretty much everyone (except my grain-free friends of course)! The great thing about overnight oats is that they do not need to be cooked, they literally take 5 minutes to prepare, and are ready-to-eat in the morning! To make overnight oats you simply add rolled oats into a mason jar or Tupperware container along with a wet ingredient such as almond milk or yogurt, some other optional add-ins like chia seed and maple syrup, and then pop it in the fridge to soak overnight. In the morning, you can eat the meal as-is, or warm it up and add extra toppings if preferred. Then, take it to-go! Overnight oats are also loaded with energizing complex carbohydrates, filling fibre, vitamins, minerals, and can contain an ample amount of healthy fats and protein with the right additions.
For this Wednesday Wellness post I’m sharing a great list of the best healthy overnight oat recipes from the Nutrition in the Kitch archives and around the beautiful blogosphere!
