Whoa. It’s Wednesday, and I just published a blog post. What the heck?? For those of you who have been following the blog for some time now, this may seem a little odd for you as I only ever post on Sundays. Well, it’s the new year and I’m changing things up. Change is good right? Right!
For 2019 I decided I’m going to start highlighting more recipes that are out in the blogosphere and some of my own from the NITK archives in a couple of handy little roundup posts each month. There are just so many talented bloggers out there that create amazing recipes and I’m all for the philosophy of supporting and shining a light on others to benefit everyone! Every couple of weeks you’ll see a post from me with a list of great recipes in a particular category, like today, smoothies!
I’ve searched and scoured the web and have reached out to some of my own favourite bloggers to compile this lovely list of 25 healthy and delicious must-make smoothie recipes to inspire you and brighten up your January just a little more. I’m also using this opportunity to share a little more about the NITK 10-Day Green Smoothie Cleanse that will be launching on February 1st, woo hoo! I will be doing the 10-day cleanse myself starting February 4th and sharing all about it over social media so anyone can join me and share about it as we hold each other accountable and experience all the amazing benefits together! This creamy dreamy smoothie/shake is filled with banana, cinnamon, and almond butter for an amazing texture and it’s 100% vegan!
This stunning layered smoothie is a serious showstopper and filled to the brim with healthy ingredients including spinach, banana, pineapple, mixed berries and vanilla yogurt (swap in coconut yogurt for a dairy free option!).
You better believe I was going to pop this smoothie in my roundup! This smoothie recipe from the blog is detoxifying and delicious all at the same time. Loaded with cranberries, pear, cinnamon, hemp seeds, and collagen it’s beautiful and balanced!
This delicious smoothie is creamy and has all the flavours of carrot cake and it’s banana-free for those of you who aren’t banana fans! Walnuts add in healthy fats and dates bring in natural sweetness.

This is still one of my most popular smoothie recipes and I know why! It’s delicious, light, refreshing, immune boosting, and detoxifying all in one! Perfect for this time of year!
Packed with protein, greens, frozen tropical fruits and antioxdant-rich moringa this isn’t just any green smoothie, it’s naturally sweet, balanced, and good for reducing inflammation.
Rocket greens can be a bit “spicy” for a leafy green but work wonderfully in this smoothie with the softness of pear and avocado. A unique green smoothie for the win!
Another oldie but goodie, this recipe from the archives has a perfect combination of apple and raspberries and the heart-healthy addition of flaxseeds.
This bright pink smoothie contains zucchini and cucumber but you’d never know it by the look or the taste. A great way to enjoy hidden veggies and perfect for the kiddos too!
